I stumbled across a photo of the model builders on the Metropolis set and I was instantly enchanted (Metropolis holds a special place in my heart, and I am an amature miniature builder). I wanted to juxtapose the futurist "architecture" with an atmosphere of antiquity. And thus a photoshop layer was applied to an ink wash, which was applied to a line drawing.
